About the College

Jamankira degree college jamankira exists in the lap of nature in the headquater of jamankira Block of Sambalpur District . Being established in the year 1992 it spreads over seven acres of land beside national highway 06 .it's natural environment captures the attention of all.

It is adjacent to railway station of sambalpur and airport of jharsuguda at a distance of 50 and 60 KMS respectively . Most of the students hail from hilly and tribal area and this institution has been catering to the need and dream of poor and downtrodden people for higher education .

The college was started in 1992 with ,56 Nos of students and the students strength which has increased to 570 in Arts and 110 in science in the session 2019 -20.

Jamankira +3 Degree college Jamankira is recognized and managed by Govt . of Odisha and its affiliated to Sambalpur University. It has also affiliated to University Grants Comission with 2f and 2b of UGC act.

The college is proud of having well qualified , experienced and devoted teachers.

It has sufficient class rooms , Principal’s room , office room , Labrotories, Girls common room , boys common room, and a 100 beded Gents hostel . Library and reading room with Library books facilities to the students. A big play ground is also available. For playing various games .
